Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to move to work with Ignite?

Not necessarily. Ignite staff are located all around the world and many work from their homes near a local college campus.

What if I don't know how to raise support?

Don't know how to raise support? That's okay! Neither does anyone else who joins Ignite. But we have your back. All of our staff go through SRS Boot Camp - a program that has been effectively training missionaries to raise support for decades. With the proper training, it's so much easier than you think. Remember - if you take this step to serve God and answer His call, He will provide. It will stretch your faith and grow you closer to Christ.

Isn't support raising awkward?

Asking people to give you money can be awkward. But raising support isn't begging people for money. You are offering them the opportunity to partner with you in your ministry and calling. They help provide financial and prayer support, you do the work — and God rewards you both. We always tell our staff and mission teams this advice: don't say "no" for someone. You never know who God will call to partner with you in this step. We'll provide you with top-notch training and resources. You just need to take the step God is calling you to take — and trust that He will provide everything you need. Support raising will stretch your faith, but you will also see God move in some crazy amazing ways.

Why do staff funnel finances through World Outreach Ministries?

Ignite is growing, and we're hiring for strategic positions that will help us expand our ministry. Right now, we don't have someone on staff who can effectively handle all the payments coming in and keeping up with address changes. In response to that, Ignite has partnered with World Outreach Ministries as our staff's "home office." They have the people and resources to effectively process incoming donations, make direct deposits on a consistent basis, send out tax deduction receipts, and provide the online portal for our staff to log in and access donation reports.
